Russian capacities of PP processing up 10%

MOSCOW (MRC) -- In 2010 growth of capapcities of polypropylene (PP) processing in Russia made 240 KTa, according to
MRC Annual report. In 2010 the Russian market of PP grew by 22% or by 140  KT. Current growth of capacities and dynamics of PP consumption in QI 2011 afford grounds that PP market may grow by 10-15% this year.

The leader in growing capacities became the sector of IM products the capacities grew by 123 KTa. Further goes the sector of PP pipes (+ 50 KTa).

After a two-year stagnation, capacities of films extrusion grew only by 30 KTa. In the sector of fibers and filaments capacities growth achieved 11 KTa.

In 2010 converters actively invested in the sector of packaging (capacities increased by 53 KTa). Also the sector of car components and accumulators is developing here the growth made 24.5 KTa. Activity is also marked in the sector of household and electrical goods.
