The new 200,000 t/y EVA line being built by Saudi International
Petrochemical Company (Sipchem, Al Jubail / Saudi-Arabia;
www.sipchem.com) and scheduled to go on stream in late 2013 at Jubail
Industrial City will use the HPPE technology of ExxonMobil Chemical
(Houston, Texas / USA; www.exxonmobilchemical.com).
Sipchem vice president Abdullatif Bhairi said that using ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art technology will allow his company to produce a range of needed EVA grades for the first time in the Middle East , as well as a broad range of LDPE grades.
