The South Korean company SK Energy will invest $4 billion in Peru with plans to install a polyethylene (plastic) petrochemical plant. During an exposition for Asian businessmen, the manager of the firm, Jin-Yoo, said the new plant will begin to operate with the addition of gas from Camisea, which could give an aggragate value 100 times greater than the resource.
He added that the project would be implemented in five years and give work to an estimated 5,000 people during the plant"s construction and 3000 during its operation.
