MOSCOW (MRC) – Over the course of January-July, PVC-S imports decreased nearly two times (down to 39.50 kt) in Ukraine, compared to the same period last year – according to MRC’s analysts. |

Many Ukrainian companies switched to European resin. Imports of European suspension moved at 85% of overall PVC-S imports.
Supply of Asian material dropped by nearly 13 times. Chinese resin was not supplied. PVC-S imports from Taiwan and South Korea dropped by 21.5 and 5 times, respectively.
Imports of Asian resin are not profitable for Ukrainian market players
because of the unstable UAH/US$ exchange rate and long transportation
leg.
