Mangalore to build a polypropylene line in southwest of India

September, 10 (plasteurope.com) -- The board of directors of Indian state-controlled Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has approved investment plans for a 440,000 t/ypolypropyleneplant, to be built by subsidiary Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemical at the company’s main site in the southwest of India.
The cost of the new plant due to go on stream within 30 months is estimated at around EUR 325m. The aim is to reduce the dependence of regional plastics convertors on imports.
