MOSCOW (MRC) -- Italian company Sapici and the Chinese Wanhua Chemical Group have signed an agreement on a distribution and tolling cooperation for aliphatic polyisocyanates for the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets, as per GV.
Under the agreement, Sapici will warehouse and distribute Wanhua’s polyisocyanates (HDI trimer and HDI biuret) portfolio throughout the EMEA region. In addition, Wanhua will have access to Sapici’s manufacturing capacities and technical resources.
"Combining the production know-how and superior quality of Wanhua’s aliphatic poly-isocyanate portfolio with Sapici’s local manufacturing capabilities, market access and technical know-how will be a winning formula for our European customers," said Marc Daniel Block, General Manager International Business ADI.
"We at Sapici recently implemented our state-of-the-art plant in order to increase the aliphatic polyisocyanate production. Together with Wanhua as a valuable partner we will leverage up our just mentioned recent investment and we will continue to expand our portfolio and create even more value for our customers," added Cristian Furiosi, CEO of Sapici.
We remind that, as MRC informed previously, Yantai Wanhua started a new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit on July 1, 2015. Located in Shandong, China, the plant has a propylene production capacity of 750,000 mt/year.
