MOSCOW (MRC) - February production of key products from polymers and rubber in Russia remained at the level of last year. Nevertheless, the production of these products in Russia over the first two months of the year increased by 3.7%, according to MRC analysts.
According to the Russian Federal State Statistics Service, the February production of unreinforced and noncombined films increased to 77,300 tonnes, compared to 62,800 tonnes in January 2017. Russia's films products output rose by 7.5% year on year in January-February 2017 to 140,100 tonnes.
February production of plates and porous sheets grew to 27,000 tonnes, compared with 21,800 tonnes a month earlier. Overall output of these products grew to 48,800 tonnes in January-February 2017, up by 18.8% year on year.
Last month's production of boards, sheets and porous polymer films was 17,400 tonnes, whereas this figure was 15,100 tonnes a months earlier. Total production of these polymer products increased by 3.3% year on year in the first two months of 2017 to 32,500 tonnes.
Last month's output of plastic windows, doors and sills increased to 1.2 mln sq m compared with 795,000 sq m in January. Output of these products was less 2.0 mln sq m in the first two months of 2017, up by 1% year on year.
February production of door plastic blocks and rapids rose to 62,100 sq m against 47,700 sq m in January. Russia's output of these products rose by 2.5% year on year in January-February 2017 to 109,800 sq m.
MRC
