MOSCOW (MRC) -- Russia's output of products from polymers slightly increased in October month on month by 2.2%. However, this figure grew by 3.9% year on year in January-October 2017, reported MRC analysts.
According to the Russian Federal State Statistics Service, the October production of unreinforced and noncombined films increased to 101,100 tonnes, compared to 99,100 tonnes in September 2017. Output of films products grew in January-October 2017 by 6.5% year on year to 899,200 tonnes.
October production of porous boards, sheets and polymer films was 27,420 tonnes, whereas this figure was 26,700 tonnes a month earlier. Total production of these polymer products increased by 13% year on year in the first ten months of 2016 to 228,100 tonnes.
October production of plates and porous sheets increased to 29,700 tonnes, compared with 26,700 tonnes a month earlier. During the period under review, the output of these products increased by 13% - up to 279,630 tonnes.
October production of plastic bottles dropped to 1409 m units against 1574 m units in September. The output of these plastic products increased by 18% and accounted to 16.321 m units in the ten months of the year.
October production of plastic windows and window sills, and door blocks increased to 2.366 m sq metres and 106,450 sq metres, respectively, versus 2.346 m sq metres and 93,600 sq metres a month earlier. The output of these products was 18.022 m sq meters in January-October and 791,450 sq meters, respectively, an increase to the same indicator in 2016 was 6.1% and 5.8% respectively.
October production of polymer pipes and fittings decreased to 55,740 tonnes from 58,000 tonnes a month earlier.
Overall output of these products totalled 475,640 tonnes in the first ten months of 2017, down by 1.6% year on year.
