September, 21 (plasteurope.com) -- Ineos ChlorVinyls hopes to lift force majeure on its 1.3m t/y European PVC production with effect from 1 October.
The company declared FM in mid-July after a power failure at Rafnes /
Norway knocked out production of VCM feedstock. The VCM plant was
restarted in August, but is still operating at a reduced rate.
Despite the product shortage,
scheduled maintenance at Rafnes is being carried out as scheduled, but
maintenance at the Porsgrunn / Norway PVC plant will be delayed.
