Ineos’ Lavera cracker resumes operation

September 24/2009
September, 24 ( -- Following a shutdown in early September Ineos has begun bringing its cracker in Lavera back on stream. The French facility, with a capacity of 1.24m t/y, had suffered technical problems as the result of a steam leak.

A spokeswoman at Lavera confirmed that Arkema is also in the process of restarting its facilities. She was, however, unable to say how long force majeure for VCM and PVC will remain in effect.
