Analysts expect rapid growth of sales of
Nizhenkamskneftekhim’s material, which might press similar imported grades very soon. In July, the company produced nearly 12 kt of
LLDPE, which was 20% more than overall imports in that month.
Despite of the overall growth of
LLDPE
output in Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Kazan, imports have not begun to
decrease sharply this year. Over the course of January-August,
LLDPE imports went down only by 1%, whereas
LDPE imports decreased 26% during that time, and those of
HDPE – by 43%.
