PE prices in Russia to be fixed by late January

MOSCOW (MRC) -- The Russian PE producers have risen the prices by 1.000 Ц 2.400 RUB./t, the less considerable price correction has been marked at the spot market, according to MRC analysts. The most considerable price hike has been marked for LDPE.

PE prices to be fixed by late January
The main suppliers raised contract prices, on average, by 2.000 Ц 2.400 RUB/t. But at the expense of long-term New Year holidays many trade companies formed their stock of materials which allowed to limit the growth of PE prices at the spot market. Quotations for 158 LDPE at the spot market by mid-week reached the level of 60.500 Ц 64.500 RUB/t, including VAT, FCA, depending on the producer. 

Contract prices for Russian HDPE grew by 1.000 Ц 2.400 RUB/t, the only exclusion was pipe PE100. Quotations at the spot market were increased by 1.000 Ц 2.000 RUB/t. At that, difference in the prices for one and the same product depending on the producer remains quite serious. Film HDPE is offered, on average, for 58.000 Ц 63.000 RUB/t, including VAT, FCA; quotations for blown PE are fixed within the range of 59.500 Ц 63.000 RUB/t, VAT, FCA including.

Linear PE prices remained almost without changes. Despite considerable LLDPE prices growth in the external markets, PE price offer in Russia remained without changes compared to late December. Import butene LLDPE is offered on average within the range of 61.000 Ц 63.000 RUB/t, VAT, FCA including.

Along with the reduction of old stocks, the prices will be corrected at the spot market. According to the market players, by late January PE prices will be finally fixed in the Russian market.
