October, 15 (plasteurope.com) -- ThyssenKrupp has combined all its semi-finished plastics activities in a new company – ThyssenKrupp Plastics International. Part of ThyssenKrupp Plastics, the new division brings together Cadillac Plastic, König Kunststoffe and Otto Wolff Kunststoffe as well as the plastics business of ThyssenKrupp Schulte.
The restructuring became possible after the acquisition in 2008 of the remaining shares in ThyssenKrupp Röhm Kunststoffe from Evonik Röhm. ThyssenKrupp Plastics International will control 15 companies in 10 European countries. In Germany, it will be represented at more than 25 locations with a total of 700 employees.
