November, 02 (plasteurope.com) -- Arkema (Colombes/France) plans to lift force majeure on PVC this week (45th calendar week). Production has been running at close to the normal level since the end of last week.
The French chemical producer declared FM on September 5 after a leak at the Ineos (Lyndhurst/UK) cracker at Lavera/France led the cracker to be taken off stream. Numerous downstream production units at the complex reported outages – including the feedstock plants for Arkema’s four PVC plants in France – and many also declared FM.
