December, 02 (ChemOrbis) -- A major Middle Eastern producer has announced their December
polyethylene (PE) offers to the Chinese market with increases of $60-70/ton for
LLDPE film and $10/ton for
HDPE film when compared with their most recent offer levels. The producer,s new offers come to $1330-1340/ton CFR China, cash for
LLDPE film and to $1250/ton with the same terms for
HDPE film, with the producer adding that they have already managed to conclude a few deals at their new price levels. The producer pointed to their limited allocation for the month as well as higher prices from other overseas producers as support for their price increases.
Import PE prices in China have been on a firming trend for the past few weeks based on higher upstream costs as well as seasonally strong demand from the agricultural film sector for
LDPE and
LLDPE film, which has helped prices for these products to increase at a faster rate than prices for HDPE film.
