Estimated PP consumption slightly down in Ukraine at year-end

Estimated PP-homo consumption dropped by 7% last year, due to growing exports throughout the year. Exports increased 21% according to the results of the twelve months.

In December, PP output dropped by 23% at Linos compared to November. Low oil supply to Lisichansk Refinery turned out to be the main reason of reduced output.

PP-homo imports went down by 17%. Supply of Russian feedstock was limited in the Ukrainian domestic market. Tomskneftekhims PP-homo was not available in the market. Imports of material used to produce fibres and filaments reduced by 35%, compared to November. Utilization of production capacities in that sector had been gradually decreasing already since mid-December.
