LDPE prices cutting the record in Russia

LDPE prices cutting the record in Russia - MRC
By February 1, prices for the 158th grade had moved at RUB51.00053.000/mt, including VAT, FCA. On Monday, prices in Moscow climbed at RUB54.000/mt, including VAT. Lack of LDPE in the Russian market and technical problems with production Russian producers have been facing recently are seriously affecting pricing. Even in view of such high feedstock prices many converters are ready to buy LDPE not to suspend their operations.

Russian LDPE producers are planning to cut down exports in February; though, taking into account Ufaorgsyntezs capacities run at low rates and temporary shutdown of production at Kazan, reduction of exports is unlikely to cover shortage of polyethylene in the Russian market.
