SAN – acrylonitrile styrene copolymerSAN (acrylonitrile styrene copolymer) is a polymer material, which is a product of styrene and acrylonitrile copolymerization (acryl acid nitrile). SAN copolymers have higher chemical resistance and more rigid surface compared to PS homopolymers. Material is molded with the help of standard molding machinery. It can be used to produce goods for different purposes. Recommended molding temperature is 140-180°Ñ. Material is resistant to: light spirits, normal alkali solutions, fats, oils and detergents; it is not resistant to aromatic hydrocarbon ketones, spirits, strong oxidizing substances and solvents. For in-depth analysis we seldom refer only to the Foreign Trade Code (Group 3903), but we make our own more precise correlation of SAN types by each grade of each producer.
