MOSCOW (MRC) -- Specialist materials company Celanese reported on Monday the appointment of Lori A. Johnston as its executive vice president and chief administrative officer, said the company on its site.
Prior to the new appointments, Johnston has served as the company's senior vice president, Human Resources, a position she has held since 2012.
Previously, Johnston served as the vice president, International Human Resources for Amgen as well as held management positions at the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and Dell Inc.
In her expanded roles, Johnston will be responsible for the company's Government Affairs, Global Communications, the Celanese Foundation and its global community engagement programmes; lead its diversity and inclusion efforts; and develop its corporate security function.
As MRC informed earlier, Celanese (Dallas) said its board of directors has taken steps to open up the nomination of directors and propose a transition to annual board elections, initiatives that will give shareholders greater influence over the company's governance.
