MOSCOW (MRC) -- Chevron Phillips Chemical Company has announced the completion of its leading-edge polyethylene pilot plant at its research and technology facility in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, said the producer on its site.
The pilot plant enables polyethylene research, such as new catalyst and polymer development, to take place on a pilot scale prior to implementation in full-scale operations, including the company’s USВ6 bln investment along the Texas Gulf Coast expected to start up next year.
"We are grateful to the men and women who worked tirelessly and more importantly, safely, to make this project a success," said Don Lycette, Senior Vice President of Research and Technology for Chevron Phillips Chemical. "It has been a year since we broke ground in Bartlesville, and we now have cutting-edge technology to assist our customers by developing new products, processes and technologies."
