MOSCOW (MRC) -- Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical has taken off-stream its low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant for maintenance turnaround, reported Apic-online.
A Polymerupdate source in China informed that the plant was shut on June 2, 2015. The duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.
Located at Guangdong in China, the plant has a production capacity of 250,000 mt/year.
As reported earlier, Sinopec Zhenhai shut down a high density polyethylene (HDPE)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) swing plant for maintenance turnaround in April 2015. It will remain off-stream for around two months. Located at Ningbo in China, the plant has a production capacity of 450,000 mt/year.
We remind that, as MRC wrote previously, in December 2014, Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical took off-stream its monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant in for maintenance turnaround. The plant remained off-stream for around one month. Located at Guangdong province in China, the plant has a production capacity of 105,000 mt/year.
