MOSCOW (MRC) -- As of 1 November 2015, Nordmann, Rassmann (NRC) will be distributing ISL-Chemie GmbH & Co. KG's products for polyurethane-based elastomers and foams throughout Germany, as per GV.
There is a wide range of application fields for ISL-Chemie's products. The Isopur and Moltopren pigment pastes are used to colour block and moulded foams, polyurethane foam parts and PVC wallpapers, for instance, as well as within the coatings sector. ISL-Chemie is, however, more than just a product supplier. Thanks to its team of experienced application technicians and developers who work closely with clients and the market, the company says it can respond quickly to new trends and help shaping them. Combining high-level understanding of the polyurethane production process with extensive knowledge of raw materials is what makes ISL-Chemie a reliable partner in the plastics industry, says the company.
ISL-Chemie has fulfilled the requirements for DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO TS 16949 and DIN EN ISO 14001 for several years now. With its headquarters in Kurten, near Cologne, ISL has been a system partner to the elastomer and plastics industries for over 45 years: two sectors which NRC is also well-acquainted with. ISL and the company's 100 members of staff have developed Advanced Colours paint products in close collaboration with customers and partners. These are customised for each application in question, supported via analytical as well as application-specific services. ISL-Chemie fulfills the role of holding company within the Swiss Berlac Group.
We also remind that, as MRC reported earlier, in June 2015, Huntsman Corporation completed the acquisition of Tecnoelastomeri, a manufacturer and marketer of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) based hot-cast elastomer systems and processing machines, based in Modena, Italy. Hot-cast polyurethanes are used in many downstream applications, including bumper pads, coated conveyor belts, gears, rollers and wheels. These applications are used in the automotive, rail, oil and gas, mining and steel industries among others. Huntsman has supplied MDI for these applications for many years.
