MOSCOW (MRC) - Angarsk Polymer Plant (APP), subsidiary of Rosneft, on 18 July, again stopped supply of ethylene to SayanskKhimPlast due to the shutdown of EP-300, said the press service of SayanskKhimPlast to MRC.
The report notes that, according to unofficial information, the shutdown was planned before, but the letter notifying it came to SayanskKhimPlast on Friday, 15 July.
The letter from APP says: "This letter informs you about technical problems in the installation EP-300 in ethylene production at APP, caused by exceeding regulatory levels of vibration on the support bearing M1 compressor high-pressure cylinder. It prevents to achieve a scheduled operating performance in the production of the required volume and increases the risks of a possible sudden failure of the compressor M1. "
The letter reported the need of the shutdown of the installation EP-300 for repair of identified technical failure and termination of ethylene supply - according to preliminary estimates, for a period of 9 days in the period from 18, July to 31 July, 2016.
The report notes that from 18 July SayanskKhimPlast was put into offline mode.
In this regard, SayanskKhimPlast expresses concern on unreliability and instability of supply, as well as the lack of attention to the seriousness of the situation.
Angarsk Polymer Plant resumed feeding ethylene to SayanskKhimPlast on 1July, 2016. It was written previously, SayanskKhimPlast began producing suspension polyvinyl chloride (SPVC) on 11 July, after almost five months of forced inactivity.
JSC "Sayanskkhimplast" (Irkutsk region) was formed in 1998. manufactures and markets suspension polyvinylchloride, caustic soda, cable and footwear plasticized rubbers, corrugated pipes, wall panels, polyvinylchloride-based cable channels, and bleaching agent Belizna. Enterprises of "Sayanskkhimplast" produce PVC, caustic soda and white. After commissioning the production of PVC at RusVinyl (Nizhny Novgorod region), SayanskKhimPlast became the second largest producer of polyvinyl chloride in Russia. At present, the annual capacity of the plant is 300,000 tonnes of PVC. The company plans to increase PVC production to 700,000 tonnes/year.
